Starmer will only take the unpopular (wrong) decisions

But income tax by far the most efficient / quick way to raise the serious amounts of money public services need.

Wealth taxes - yes all for them - but it won't be enough anyway. Labour need to improve things fast or they'll be out.

Some are instantly collectible and should be top of the list for Labour to impose.

But not all. The wealthy will react by hiding assets offshore / fight it in courts etc. The govt/HMRC doesn't have the time or resources to go after some of the wealth.

Those it can do it definitely should though.

The 2% on assets above £10m nonsense - it's either impossible/v costly/v time consuming to collect.

But there are wealth taxes that are easy to collect - harmonise dividend/income tax, raise/wider ranging CGT.

But income tax will raise the instant cash public services desperately needs & it's fair

Labour was wrong to put it in the manifesto. But raising those taxes is not the wrong thing to do now because public services desperately need cash.

I'm not against wealth taxes that are collectable either - dividend tax & CGT increases. But 2% on assets above £10m will be impossible to collect.

If only Kent CC or similar issues happening in Cornwall CC which are both led by Reform, was deemed as important (by our wonderfully unbiased media) as - say - Birmingham CC led by Labour which was headline news for a week when the bin collections on a few streets didn't happen due to strikes

The Guardian lead with a story about Starmer and all the media pick it up - first by Mason and the BBC - even though it's just speculation.

The Guardian do a far more scandalous story on Farage giving his parnter £800k to buy a house (and therefore avoiding stamp duty) and not a sausage.

Absolutely.

But based on how Labour has acted so far they won't. Gibb - just like Johnson - is a threat to our democracy and his specific aim is to bring down the BBC.

Any govt should want to protect it. Any politician that doesn't is also a danger to our democracy. Voters beware.

I agree. My point is the repercussions of Diogo's death cannot be measured but imo has had an effect on club performance. Slot won't say this - but should imo - because the pile ons by media/fans will only continue and have an even greater detrimental effect on player mental health.

Boris Johnson will say and do whatever it takes to bring down the BBC. For example he put Robbie Gibb on the BBC board when he was PM. Gibb hates the BBC and was one of the people that started up GB News - a massive conflict of interest.

Boris Johnson is also a corrupt turd.

Well worth a read if you care about what's happening at the BBC

Anything you can do Ed - please do

I think the grief the club is going through is having a huge effect. However publicly it's been ignored and therefore it will get worse. Eg) Neville's commentary yesterday was disgusting and he should apologise if Diogo's death is taken into account. It wasn't so he gets to pile on every time. #LFC

Who cares. Can Liverpool get CL?

They've struggled in every league game, the manager has no answers, the players look done already. Lots of reasons - not least Diogo. My gut says this may well get worse still and there's nothing to be done unless the club are prepared to take a risk with Slot.

Salah creates an issue albeit one that needs taking advantage of whilst he's here. But once he moves on that's when the puzzle becomes clearer - starting with AFCON.

It will be the 3 in midfield plus the 3 upfront in whatvever formation. If I had to guess 4-3-1-2 or maybe 4-2-2-2

Musk is a drug addled, far-right prick, who unfortunately also poses a significant danger UK national security.

Meanwhile the majority of the govt, politicians, media corporations, journalists and hacks continue to reside on his social media platform and therefore legitimise his extemism.

These two positions should have been a priority as soon as Matip and Fabinho left. That's negligent because eventually it will come back to bite you. Now is that time.

But Trent and Diaz have also left and not been replaced - Frimpong is a winger/wingback not a FB.
