Good choice. And a plenum?

Glad to hear it. So many variables. I keep cardboard so I can do a bunch of testing before priming/painting. Not sure if it matters for your application, but the temperature of the part might also be a consideration, ie painting parts that have been in full sun daylight.

It's a new adventure every time. 105 is pretty warm and will definitely make spraying a challenge. If it's an option, spraying early in the morning is easier when the temperatures are lower.

Was there enough paint to fully cover? Does your sprayer hold 20 psi when spraying, or does it start at 20 and drop when painting? I've had a similar result when spraying in hot, dry conditions. Almost as though the paint was drying before getting to the metal.

Congratulations! That is a huge milestone.

Wait and see if there is some cool new update.

Glad you got it resolved. What was the trick?

Cessna 210?

Will you still be working on aircraft?

Triple check all such connections to be absolutely sure there is no way the connection can work itself loose.

I'm not building a -8, but mechanically, I don't see a difference in the end result. If there are washers to be installed on each side of the rod end bearing, that will likely be much easier before putting the rod end through the upper bracket.

With Tesla software updates happening regularly, one might wonder if Elon has special code in every single Tesla.

That's awesome. Fantastic craftsmanship on that guitar.

Very cool. When will it be finished? I'm curious how the tonality works out.

That looks like a tough spot to reach. Let us know what the solution ends up being.

Maybe give yourself credit for what you've already accomplished, and space to learn (and make mistakes on real parts). I've never built an airplane so literally every part of the build is a case of first impression. No one is supposed to get it right the first time. Build on my friend.

It's difficult to know what the average builder goes through. We all come from different backgrounds and skill sets. I've found all sorts of creative ways to turn good parts into 'learning experiences'.
