This is a very good point! I think public transport incredibly safe and usually faster too. 25 years of living in zone 2 Lambeth and no problems.

Very sad - we sold our car 2 years ago and found we didn’t actually need one but much of that to do with Zipcar which has about 10 vehicles within 10 mins walk. Not sure there is an obvious replacement

I went for a crowded walk on Friday (27th) on south bank from Vauxhall to Borough Market. Which was closed. Lots of angry tourists complaining it should be open. Oh well…
