This will be my 4th time seeing this show. First one was in 2019 during a tornado -- hard to top that experience but looking forward another evening with JBB

There was an amazing "Jan in the Pan" fabric pattern or dress that was circulating a few years ago. Couldn't locate it again on a quick search, but did see a $250 diorama model kit, ha!

I love this one so much. It is so dream-like...dislocated as you said. I wonder if it were all self-destruction though, or her desire for a life her own, but wrought by the desires of others and the trappings of her earlier trauma. Questions that need no definitive answer.

Also, just for fun.

Love this film and Soavi. There's an interview with him in the recent Opera release where he describes showing an early print of Stage Fright to Dario - and how very nervous he was to show him!

Amazing! Freak-o-Rama produced some amazing interviews for Le Chat's release. Only French subs, so hopefully Arrow has secured these bonus features with English subs. Here's Le Chat's bonus menu...I'm honestly most excited for Francesca's interview given her career on the other side of the lens.

Mimsy is spectacular in this. I really appreciate how you have summarized the theme. Consumers/Consumption. An object stripped of agency. I'll leave it at that.

"The House With Laughing Windows"
(dir. Pupi Avati, 1976)
The best giallo you probably haven't seen.

Congrats! Can't wait to see it birthed!

Totally agree - that particular release of Suspiria is GORGEOUS. I'm not studied enough to give a technical opinion, but the jump in quality for Plaion's Opera 4K release was mind blowing at first (which I felt was even slightly better than Severin's release last year).

Totally agree on the restoration. One of my most treasured purchases last year.

(edits) first **thank you!

Second, I suppose I meant Gary's tenure is in its early phase on the chart.

The best part of this is that the chart continues, with starts and poofs and baseline industry swings.

I hope this chart becomes a historical document. So cool, and thanks again for sharing!

So much to digest but brilliant. The baseline curves in video and pin, the vid collapse in 83. Stern and Gary (early on the chart). What an intimate snapshot...than you for sharing!

Just seeing the image I can hear the warning "bong, bong bong..." on boot up

Imagining the absolute horror that would ensue if you came in possession of an "Indian in the Cupboard" type medium and found the malice to turn the magic key.

Had a guy say the same thing to me in Memphis when I drew a 3 of Clubs.

Gonna assume you're a maven for this kind of question: any favorite haunts in London? Going back soon - loved discovering Tiroler Hut last time, trying out the Toucan this next trip. Any recs?
