This morning I decided to search for meta-analysis of SEL and found two published in 2023 and 2024, both mostly supportive of school based programs. One international and the other for the USA.

What teachers need to be disillusioned about is the idea that the practical application of SDT is about motivation. SDT is more appropriately applied to the duty care that schools owe children before they ever get around to instruction.
