I saw a bird in a tree
It was singing only to me
I watched for a while
Until it flew away
And the song it gave me was free.

This just popped into my head shortly after I crawled into the bed. Fun little poem that makes me smile. We can us a little of that these days.

The late night comedy shows that have used politics as its central topic is not so funny when the reality is so malicious.
It’s hard to find humor in topics that are causing real pain and suffering.

Nice sunset with Jupiter peeking through the tree on the left. Last night we had a beautiful full moon, but you can see the clouds have blocked it.

First post here. I found this plant growing out of the top of this post. At that time I thought its growth was being persistent given the lack of water and the blazing southern sun.

Now at 70, I am feeling I must persist in the face of our grim future. Hence my handle Don-Persists.
