tcgs currently have some real gambling issues that its communities dont want to face, like at all. it's exacerbated in north america where social nets barely exist and different forms of gambling at home are becoming legal, gambling out of desperation is as easy as grabbing a handful of packs

reprinting starlights makes yugioh the most moral tcg because it disincentives gambling addicts from harming themselves
say what you will about ygo but its sets not being "good investments" is actually categorically most definitely more moral than pkmn despite pkmn having better reprints

Verte anaconda has not been power crept, konami has just been designing cards limited by verte anaconda due to it being legal in some formats this whole time. New decks just cant profitably use verte like older decks could due to new cards being purposefully not as exploitable by verte
