Nothing like starting the day listening to tRump speak at Davos. Unfucking believable that the audience did not walk out en masse and leave him alone at the podium. What a glorious sight that would be. If anyone still thinks he is our savior and the greatest ever... Fuck the hell off.

Way to go Indiana 🏈 for all the schools with no 5 star athletes and only one on the roster in the top 100. The transfer portal has some issues but without it Indiana does not have the season it did. Great game tonight.

It's 12 degrees right now and the wood burning stove is keeping us pretty toasty tonight. Clarabelle found a warm spot about 7 feet from the stove. I'll curl up with Mrs B shortly. Be safe, stay warm tonight all. Back to the fight tomorrow.

Given the events last night in the Twin Cities I really want to believe that the residents are smart enough not to be throwing fire crackers, rocks etc... and the source is from agitators from the right. Am I crazy to think so or are residents not paying attention to the plea to be non-violent?

Nothing like a beautiful Christmas day spent on the lake with my father in law. 68 degrees, low wind and fog for the first half hour. Pretty much had the lake to ourselves for a couple of hours. Time with family seems more important these days. The memories are.

So... Traveled to Oregon with Mrs D to see my son and daughter in law and was forbidden from working and watching broadcast news and Bsky for the week. Unplugging! Kudos to my son for suggesting it. Kudos to daughter in law for spending a day fishing on the Rogue river in chilly conditions.

Move on folks.. The administration was never going to give in no matter how long the shutdown lasted. Dems gave them off ramps that they chose to ignore and more of the country saw the callousness of tRump even if they only watch Fox. Did the Dems fail/lose? It's debatable so for me yes and no....

Pre-winter prep yesterday helped take my mind off the continuing insanity that is politics in our country. Cover up the asparagus bed, wrap up the fig tree to freeze protect it and split about a full cord of firewood. My head feels better my back and knees remind me of my age. 😉🪵🪓

New sanity reboot. Splitting wood with an 8# maul feels really good. No mental or physical explanations as to why required. No..was not putting peoples faces on the stumps. Not my fantasy. I do feel better 🪵🪓🪵 and I needed it today. Got a whole lot more wood to split when the next time rolls around
