What does it mean?

When I took Latin the teacher pronounced Cicero "Kickero'. Sounded awful. She claimed that the soft c pronunciation was Church Latin.

I do fine thanks. I understand the concept of "rooting" and can certainly tolerate it. When that "rooting" affects the narrative (no oppo goal is ever nice or well executed while every home goal is a piece de resistance) then it definitely detracts. Hope that helped. If not, just slink away.

Are you serious? The entire point is that they are NOT announcing the play. I find it very annoying to be gaslit in real time. Homer announcers are awful.

I am aware of that. Their job is to announce what is happening - not to exaggerate and embellish play to put their team in a better light. There will always be some bias but lately games have become insufferable with sound on.
