I used to use the former businesses all the time so it is frustrating how long it is taking for this to get developed. The area lost a grocery store, a book store, some restaurants and many other frequented amenities.

I used to live close by. The shuttered storefronts were closed for redevelopment and have been in limbo for years. I think COVID really affected the redevelopment plan but they are talking about it becoming a mixed use and walk-able area: www.sandiegouniontribune.com/2025/05/29/c...

I do this and also mix up Saturday and Sunday.
