Tolerance is not a moral virtue, it's a social contract. You should not feel obliged to tolerate the intolerant.

This one's about how 1984 was the best year for music, ever. I don't know about that, but I do know this is a good book. Reads kind of like a rock critic wrote - one did - but it's still good.

Sort of apropos for today - and for a few more years - it's The Big Book of Conspiracies. Great illustrations, and solid explanations on what the conspiracies are, without buying into them.

Re: the Los Angeles fires. I used to live in Pasadena, and much of Altadena (just north) is gone. Places I used to go are not there any more. It's bad. Really, really bad. A lot of the news is focused on the Palisades fire, which is also bad, but don't forget about Altadena. Much love, my friends.

How about a cookbook? Snoop Dogg has one. Really. It's pretty good, except for the editors trying very hard to write like Snoop talks. Snoop's good friends with Martha Stewart, and this book definitely has her touch. The recipes are solid.
