📣New paper - Remote & rural communities face #inequalities in receiving specialist #PalliativeCare. Patients & staff found video-consultation to be a beneficial option (& preferable than a phone call ☎️ )

Happy #EuropeanDayOfLanguages!
Enjoyed practicing languages for my daughter’s homework and on theme wearing my Europe map top! 🗺️
My dream is to visit every country in Europe & pick up more languages on the way 🇮🇪 🇩🇪 🇳🇱 🇪🇸 🇫🇷 🇮🇹 🇪🇺

(Because I am a new to it, PhD student and need to remember. If it was my full time job then I might not do that!)

In my stata do-file I comment on all of the code as I go. There is more explanation than actual code happening 😆

Great day presenting & learning at the North of England #Mesothelioma 🫁 Educational update at the beautiful Beamish Hall Hotel, #Durham

And delighted to be welcomed as the only #PalliativeCare member of the North of England Thoracic society (yet!)
Very impressed with the badge! 🥰

Really exciting to see 1️⃣6️⃣8️⃣ like-minded people logging in for the launch 🚀 of the
🆕 #PalliativeCare #Research Incubator

So many potential opportunities to connect with others, as working in a small field, spread geographically can sometimes feel isolating.

Me too! All stationery is from rummaging around in the reduced section of TKmaxx

If you’re going to do stats on a Saturday, at least liven it up with some sushi stationery (perfect post-it notes 🍣🗒️😄)

The #Kingfisher is a shy, elusive bird.
Small & extremely fast, making photographing it challenging.
It has been on my bucket list for FIVE YEARS….
Then today I saw him!
Majestic in blue and orange, perched on a reed.
It was a magical moment for me ♥️

I was dissatisfied that I missed a budgie and horse visiting the hospice last week!

Beautiful #Wildflowers 💐

If I ask my daughter if she’d like to help in our own garden…..its as if I’ve suggested child labour 🪏🪴

Yet she was super excited to rent an old jam jar & pair of scissors to trim a field of wild flowers ✂️🫙🌱😆

Diet Pepsi is far superior
Yet I find myself having to tolerate Diet Coke because its sold more widely (where I live anyway) 😑

Everyone gets a good laugh at my drawings

P is for pizza is good
We sometimes play Machi Koro but it takes 5 minutes to set up and thats longer than my child’s patience

At the minute the house is littered with half made lego sets and jigsaws as the attention span couldn’t last any longer
donnawakefield.bsky.social
Six second scribble is good because thats the exact attention span that my 9 year old has 😆
donnawakefield.bsky.social
Thanks for the list!

We play “Sushi Go” a lot
And also argue over “goat, cat, cheese, pizza” (or whatever the order is 😂)
We love “Six second scribble” and
“Herd Mentality”

We regularly play “Organ Attack”, which can end in tears over who stole each others organs 🤪
