Today is a great day to set goals for the year, actual goals that will make a difference for you. Goals are the GPS for the year, you can slow down at times but no stopping and definitely no U-turns, only forward.

Think almost every esports coach will say communication that is clear and focused is one of the most important skills players need to learn. This skillset is the difference between good and great teams, and can be a skillset that transfers well beyond esports.

This summer seems to be a repeat of 2017 for me, returned to ISTE in San Antonio and now will be starting Ragbrai a week from today in Orange City, same start as 2017. Can't wait to do another bike ride across the state of Iowa with 10,000 or so others.

One very nice thing to see when I got back from being out of state was my Ragbrai registration packet. Just about 2 weeks to go, seems so close. Can’t wait to bike across Iowa again even if my training was not much this year.

Had a great time learning and connecting with others in San Antonio. So many schools and educators doing great things out there but because they are focused on growth and improvement for students.

There are so many things we can focus on in order to make learning more accessible to all learners. These are just some of the basic ones that I would include in every teacher's planning. What would you add?

Another Bacoon is in the books. 72 miles of biking, temp in the mid 80s, and sunny. 10 years after my first one and I don’t see stopping anytime soon.
