but the anger is tricky and it's tough territory we have to navigate. i think part of the equation is people push us too far and we have to show them we're pissed without walking into the trap of violence. i guess maybe that's something to focus on with protests

not necessarily. i feel there's some corner we may turn where the societal whole strikes the right chemical exchanges and we find the handles on this modern zeitgeist. something about speaking to people's values, revealing illusions, demonstrating new norms and mechanisms, and getting pissed off

I really like the phrase "Kavanaugh stop." It's not a Terry stop, because a Terry stop is short and based on reasonable suspicion of a crime. A Kavanaugh stop, by contrast, is when masked goons kidnap a person for speaking Spanish.
