All in all, I like this game, but the Switch version gets a 7.5/10. I'm assuming it would probably be an 8.5 or higher on another platform if the framerate issues were nonexistent. Sadly, that wasn't an option for me at this time, but maybe someday I can revisit Kitty again in higher quality. 🐈

Speaking of autosaves, I do wish the game would let you save whenever—in the event that you find a secret and want to keep that progress. Unfortunately, the game does not autosave at those moments. Even if the game technically saved at a checkpoint and not where you found said secret, that'd been ok

I did run into a glitch at one point where I jumped up onto a counter and was stuck there forever. Whenever I tried to jump down, the game would repeatedly teleport me back up onto the counter. I ended up needing to load up my last autosave in order to escape, so beware counters, I guess.

The soundtrack was good and has a unique sound to it. Definitely fit the tone and the setting very well. Though, there were times while an ambient track was playing, an exceptionally long held note wound up being a little grating to me; but that occurrence didn't come up often, thankfully.

The gameplay was, more-or-less, good. Nothing really standout. The puzzles are fine, and the "combat" sections are... okay. They could be a bit repetitive. Particularly a section halfway through the game. The game's setting, story, and exploration shine more than the obstacles in between.

I do wonder if the framerate issues contributed towards any headaches, or if they were, maybe, due in part to the camera movement being so close to the ground (since you're a cat and all). It did make looking around disorienting at times. Or maybe I just need to take more breaks. 🤷

The graphics were better than what I expected for the Switch, but I did take issue with the framerate. Throughout gameplay, it would dip a bit here and there, but there were times it taaaanked. I also ended up getting headaches after playing this game for around an hour or so—which is odd for me.

The story, overall, was pretty good. I don't want to say too much, so I'll just say that I like how simply being a kitty navigating a post-apocalyptic setting can bring something fresh to a genre that we've experienced many stories with already.

The environments you explore are super-interesting. The attention to detail shows, and I spent a fair amount of time just looking at the set designs. Not to mention that you're rewarded for doing so with secrets and such. There's lots of places for a kitty to climb to and access.

Note: This will be spoiler-free.

First of all, playing as a cat? It's a good time. They nailed the cat-like movement here. The little kitty you play as is adorable, and it's good fun to dish out typical cat-hijinks. Don't like that bottle sitting over there? Knock it over. You have no boss.
