Okay….I’m doing it! I’m making my own tarot deck. It’s gonna be a drag. Literally! Each card will be based on my favorite queens. Starting with GottMik 🤓
The death card shows GottMik in her signature skull-white makeup. Her velvet cowl dress pools to the floor like spilled blood. Her youthful beauty contrasts with the skulls at her feet reminding us that we are all born to die. One skull wears a crown showing us that death spares no bitch. A pomegranate branch extends above GottMik and fades into black as it passes over her. This symbolizes the never ending cycle of life, death, decay, and regrowth. The pomegranate represents the bridge between the living and the afterlife. The oft maligned death card signals an ending, but not always a literal death. It represents the ending of a major chapter in your life and the beginning of a new one. Change is never easy although it’s necessary for growth. Death represents transformation. Gottmik’s exposed chest reveals the scar from her physical transition (top surgery). Her scar represents the pain of transformation but it also reminds us that time heals. The sacrifices will be difficult but you must clear away the old in order to make way for the new. Death is inevitable. This card may be a sign that you need to let go of your old ways. Change is coming whether you like it or not. Look for new opportunities in the unexpected. Break away from patterns that no longer serve you. Death is a vital part of life. The cracked pomegranate reveals blood red seeds within its blackened skin. Without an end there can be no beginning. Decay leads to new growth and death makes way for new life. Embracing change will lead to new opportunities. Resisting change will lead to stagnation and ruin.

Yesterday’s sunrise (pictured) was such a banger I got up to watch this morning…I guess not all sunrises are created equal. Today the sky was gray followed by brighter gray!
