The owner/chef of Serv-U Market in Bolingbrook also gave me some pointers on how to make my own Shito with substitutions for things I can’t eat. She was absolutely lovely. She even sent me off with a YouTube channel, Nanaaba’s Kitchen, that she uses when she needs a reminder.

Found a wonderful little African Market on accident. I love when getting lost brings you little gems. I was in plantain chip heaven. I got some spicy ones that I can eat. Also got a jerk sauce I can eat. Both small miracles for me. Spicy usually has tomato or garlic in it and neither of these did!
