72M Americans depend on Medicaid for their healthcare. But Re are pushing to slash it—just to fund more tax breaks for the wealthy. That means seniors in nursing homes, children w/ disabilities, and hard-working families could be left w/o access to the care they need to survive.

Tomorrow’s going to be a good stress test of the press. El Salvadoran President Bukele will visit the White House. At the press availability, every Q ought to be about Abrego Garcia: where is he now? Did US ask you to return him? etc. WH will hate, maybe try to prevent, so all should band together.

This is a big deal. Spread the word. But it’s tiny compared to the totality of what’s happening at NIH. Cure Research for all cancers, Alzheimer’s, everything is being gutted. Intentionally. It’s all getting burned to the ground but the news isn’t getting out. The new cures won’t be there for you.

Awesomeness!
Fiery speech from Gov Pritzker raising the alarm and urging us to fight back against the trump/musk administration. He’s sounding the alarm because it took the Nazi’s a little over a month to dismantle a constitutional government. But with all of us together, can fight this because we must.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker took aim at Trump’s administration during his State of the State budget address, drawing parallels to past threats to democracy. Read more at the 🔗 in our bio. #jbpritzke...

What did Dems do in the past 2 days? Some good stuff from helping Americans afford to live to protecting our freedoms and keeping us safe, and more. Unlike MAGA Rs who want to harm us by cutting health ins for the most vulnerable to taking away our freedoms. Let’s elect Dem leaders who support us.

Americans have the right to vote and have a say who our elected leaders are. But MAGA Rs want to pass The SAVE Act which would make it harder for millions of Americans to cast a ballot, including women who changed their name after marriage.

Though we need to win back the House in 2026, we must first focus on the WI state supreme court race on 4/1. That election will determine the balance of power on that court. WI elections affect the national scene too. Please see 🧵 on actions you can take to help elect Judge Susan Crawford. 1

While tainted @washingtonpost.com lavishes praise, the @inquirer.com notes Trump's "record of lies, division, and criminality continue to tarnish the office of the presidency."

Read the editorial. And give the Philly Inquirer love at www.inquirer.com/offers/ - we need brave and honest journalism.
After a first term spent tarnishing the presidency, Trump takes office again with empty promises of a gilded age | Editorial
For those who believe in honesty, truth, justice, the rule of law and caring for the least of our brothers, Trump's return is a dark day.

"One of Trump’s central claims was that Biden’s green energy investments will cause enormous job losses. In reality, the IRA is creating hundreds of thousands of jobs. Now Republicans are declaring repeal of the IRA could create empty factories."

Too bad this was unknowable before the election.
GOP Representative John Duarte, who just lost his seat in the elections, explicitly tells Reuters that farming interests in his California district depend on undocumented immigrants—and that Trump should exempt many from removal.

Let’s do the math. Oz was okay with “considering” having over a million kids dying from COVID, plus teachers & support staff. (All prevented, because saner heads were making decisions.) And now Trump nominated him to be the head of Medicare and Medicaid. Tell me again which party is “pro-life”?
Just a reminder that in 2020, Dr. Oz suggested that opening schools during COVID would "only cost us 2-3% in terms of total mortality," and that "any life is a life lost but... that might be a tradeoff some folks would consider."
