Greens rebrand under Polanski has already been successful and polling consistently at or above Labour vote now.

People remember how even starting your party was a shitshow, though. And I see no signs of that abating.

To be fair you can be quite severely wounded without realising it in the moment because of the adrenaline so I get it.

Dear lord that guy is lucky to not have been disembowelled.

Nor am I even a regular reader of Dogpatch press. I will read, at times, when there's something of a grave nature which may affect my own decision making. Such as this. I go in sceptical and need to be convinced. I was, if anything, biased towards disbelieving the allegations.
December 3, 2025 at 3:51 AM
And that's my point. You seemed at that point at least willing to be convinced.

But I do want to impress upon you that this wasn't a decision I took lightly. I valued those events. Queer spaces like that which cater to a subset of a minority don't come dime a dozen.

To be fair, after my last two responses prior to now, they liked them, so I'm willing to offer a smidgeon of grace at this juncture. I am leaning towards just more from beef towards the source.

I also have it on good personal authority from someone who'd rather not be publicly involved in this - but whom I, at least, in my own decision making - trust implicitly, can, shall we say, tell it is him in the suit in the photographs.

Love it when PAs are done well in art~ ❤️

Oh absolutely. Some things if you don't entirely trust the reporter you have to trust the person(s) in your circle who have the stomach and looked at the source material and say "I have seen it. I believe it."
December 2, 2025 at 11:53 PM
Honestly though I don't entirely blame people for not wanting to see it. Such queer spaces are few and far between, especially catering for niche communities within the queer community such as ours. It's not an easy decision to take. It wasn't for us, either.

I suspect there's more people quietly voting with their feet than you might think if the lower than usual attendance at the most recent one is anything to go by.
December 2, 2025 at 11:28 PM
Believe it or not as a repeat attendee of the events in question I did NOT enter viewing the article wanting to believe the allegations. Quite the opposite actually.
December 2, 2025 at 11:04 PM
Having spent far more time than is probably good for my mental health looking for signs of image manipulation (beyond the cropping to not have outright zoo porn images posted), I am not doubtful and did not take this decision lightly.

It takes about 3-4 clicks from that article to literally ~see the evidence~

It would be hypocrisy of me to say I care about animal welfare and yet continue to partake in an event run by an animal abuser. So, I'm just not going to go, it feels wrong to do so.

I am not comfortable making such posts, but I care about animal welfare, I care about Animalz the event and want it to be the sort of space where we can express ourselves.

Apart from optics, the act itself is downright unethical to say the least.

For as long as this person is a co-owner or otherwise involved with the administration or operation of events under the brand, I will not be returning.
