There even was a period of time when Richard Spencer was getting notable that the right wing tried to make 80s synth pop a part of their aesthetic, despite It's creation and popularity being massively helped by people they hate. Also, see rage against the machine fans.

I've always maintained that the reason there is a perception that British actors are better at American accents than vice versa is because British actors can fall back on a generic American accent, and when they try to get regional it starts to suck just as much as Americans trying British ones.

This is one of those movies if you think even a little too hard about what's going on it all falls apart and makes little sense, but I just had so much fun watching it I didn't care. Like why would you not just tell them what would happen instead of hinting at it slogans?

While there still are some controversies here and there it is interesting how in America reviews are much less of a problem and viewed more positively. Baseball is very traditional and resisted replay for a long time but it's been a hit since it came in. VAR is not really a problem in the MLS often.

I think mostly because back then there wasn't an alternative media streams to keep yourself relevant. When you lost an election the mainstream media would just hand wave you away, now you can still keep yourself relevant regardless. I think this has more to do with the media environment than norms.
