The thing about Twitter is that the 100 psycho nazis I find in replies to people I like, I can block them and continue to follow someone like Sarah. If the price of having "moderated" social media is that for every 100 banned nazis we lose one Sarah, that's not good. And this hall monitor attitude..

I think it's also OK to overemphasize class because the effort to minimize it in like all of our electoral politics and media means you gotta kind of amplify that yes, class exists and yes, it's important to have awareness of it. And why can't it be an intro to systemic issues??

if the discourse about all this were actually an "op", it was extremely successful - not just in how when it plays out it shields the worst actors from criticism, but the whole hat trick of somehow totally removing systemic issues and class from the conversation.
