I remember when i first used OneDrive
it kept telling me "I am full, give me money or I spam you!"
so i was like "okay, sure, i'll delete some of these files off of OneDrive" AND THEN IT DELETED THEM OFF MY COMPUTER TOO
never used OneDrive since and never will in the future, it's terrible

I think non-matching can work in one case: when the look i supposed to be completely ramshackle. Scavenged parts that work for reasons barely comprehensible to the engineer that put them together in the first place.

One similar trope i find very fun is that after popping the character is seen with a cartoonish bandage around their belly, but they look normal else-wise.
