I find it concerning that he appears to assume that the vast majority of NIH grants are a waste of public money.
It sounds like the director is unaware just how competitive funding is and the peer review and other checks that go into funding in academia.

It did not convince any voters but then again the vote was more #fundamental than about #money. It is, and was a #culture war. Tolerance vs intolerance. Hatred vs kindness. Rascism vs inclusivity.
