I wonder if he would come to the aid of protestors in America if the government there used lethal force against them. Oh, wait, HE is the lethal force...! Never mind.....

So, can someone tell me how dropping your tax return in the mail box at your post office on 4/15 is the official day it was received at the P.O.? How could we prove that to the IRS if we needed to?

What this rule codifies is something that is already occurring. Our mail has not been postmarked at the post office in years, but at processing centers. What is screwing things up is that mail dropped off at your P.O. is sent to processing the next morning-no more trips during the day.

And this is the way it's been for many many years. It's been a very long time since your local post office postmarked mail as a rule. If we wanted our tax return to be postmarked on 4/15, we'd wait in line at the post office for that cancellation. That's always been good practice.

And yes, it is there that it is postmarked by the machines. This is not new. There is a new rule concerning this, but the effect on us is nothing new. Mail is intentionally slowed down and delayed, but the postmark rule is not the problem. The other rules from 2025 are.

Deleting the accounts is the only way. I have read that we should just stop using it or delete the app, like for Spotify or LinkedIn, until they come around. The only action that counts is deleting that account! An unused account is still an account and that's still support!
