Excellent Pulsars SAN by the way. Can we estimate the percentage of pulsars that are detectable because they flash their beams in our direction? There must be a lot that are off-axis and we never see them.

I had watched the lecture live, but watched again. The New Horizons data made me wonder if we will ever send two Gaia type craft well away from the earth in opposite directions to increase the measurable parallax. A very enjoyable lecture, but personally I have never thrown a duck into a pond!
