Did our local shops prerelease yesterday and going for Round 2 today. Truly the best part of Magic is the Gathering.

I would have to say the one that impacted me the most and that left me wanting more was Circe by Madeline Miller. I read it and Song of Achilles both of which are amazing retellings that will define future books.

While there are some cool moments from their 3rd and 4th season what took me out of it was a character looking to have been killed off only to have been taken to a secret Russian gulag prison and then being found and rescued. I watch and read a ton Sci-Fi and Fantasy but suspension needed was 2 much

Having some minor effect like being able to create a small flame, or move a small object (fits in the palm of your hand) feels right. Divination like dowsing wands might actual work as well. Although I still see people use them so maybe it does work 😅

For me personally I always love the unique tokens and card names for any set but even more so for the UB sets.

Mechanically speaking I prefer it if they get the name and legendary to add extra thought if I ever wanted to populate more of them.
