I do wonder if this is because of how we view the past. When we look back everything seems inevitable and all contingency vanishes. Certainly people talk that way.

Perhaps we bring the same sensibility to how we view the future?

That means tackling the supreme court, which I fear nobody will have the courage to do.

Often they are genuinely interesting people, talking about a great subject that they are qualified to discuss, but the first 30 minutes is forced laughter while they talk about their cat's middle name.
