My guess is that the indigenous people are done dealing with the crap that has been doled out to them over the centuries. Any policy that attempts to ignore them is going to get serious push back. I think the courts will have their backs as well which is a welcome change from the past.

This! The assholes on Bay Street have caused immense damage to both the environment and the economy.

The business and finance class of Canada is utterly useless - continually begging for government subsidies and de-regulation with all of the practical calamities that have resulted.

I definitely like that proposal. I’d go after all of his and his family’s ill gotten wealth and distribute out to the groups and individuals he and his minions have harmed. I wouldn’t leave him with a wooden nickel.
December 19, 2025 at 8:23 PM
I think after he’s left office his name and visage should be stricken off everything with the sole exception of a septic tank or cesspit that should be named after him, with large golden letters.

These people, Bari and the rest of the right wing, are just absolutely vile. People who have advanced up the ranks through means that have nothing to do with inherent intellectual ability, hard work, or any real merit of any sort.
December 19, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Someone should leak the report.
December 18, 2025 at 11:24 PM
In the coming revolution the Republicans and their supporters in finance, tech, and the media should be the first against the wall.

But the Democratic consultant class should be a close second.
December 18, 2025 at 9:55 PM
To run against in the history of politics.

If you are a Party that cannot figure out how to do that, without supporting shitty candidates and shitty policy positions, then you hardly deserve electoral success.
December 18, 2025 at 8:41 PM
More and better - you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. You get good candidates who don’t apologize for being progressive. You point out just how completely evil the Republican Party is and has been, and how appalling the Trump is and has been. The Republican record is the easiest thing
December 18, 2025 at 8:41 PM
No, better Democrats are needed - that much has been made abundantly clear. A cursory examination of the inexcusable Gonzalez, for example, reveals an individual who shouldn’t be let within a country mile of elected office by the Democrats.

Incumbents like him and Cuellar need to be removed.
December 18, 2025 at 8:34 PM
Cuellar should have already lost his committee position - so that would be an easy one to remove. For the others ensure that they don’t have any party support in the primaries and look to support more progressive members in those campaigns.

It’s not that difficult to hammer them.
December 18, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Retaking the House is not going to be perilous or uncertain next year. However it certainly won’t increase support for the party by refusing to do everything to protect a vulnerable minority group.

There’s no upside for the Democrats if they fail to punish these inexcusable representatives.
December 18, 2025 at 8:23 PM
4 absolute scumbags. And a party who are no less at fault for not stamping down on them to vote against that odious bill.
December 18, 2025 at 8:06 PM
A dinner for shitty wealthy people, many of whom were, or subsequently became, engaged in criminal activities.
December 18, 2025 at 8:04 PM
Unfortunately standard Liberal leader playbook of say one thing while doing the complete opposite.
December 18, 2025 at 5:23 PM
A sensible reaction to Trump would be for the Government to indicate that all of his golf courses in the United Kingdom will be repossessed unless he immediately drops his libel suit.
December 16, 2025 at 12:01 PM
I’d be happy to air drop them into a third world country. However, I’d air drop them in without a parachute. And that’s a physical parachute not a metaphorical parachute that I wouldn’t drop them in with.
December 13, 2025 at 11:35 PM
Given what an absolutely worthless politician Nick Clegg turned out to be, being a spokesperson for people and companies who want to steal the intellectual property of artists, authors, scientists and small business people is pretty much par for the course for that asshole.
December 13, 2025 at 8:56 PM
Hoekstra is a disgraceful representative but sadly appropriate to represent as mendacious a rogues gallery of villains as populates the Trump Administration.
December 12, 2025 at 8:10 PM
And of course published in the Atlantic, of which I can only write that I regret that I have but one subscription to have cancelled and I had already done that after one of their many earlier idiotic articles.
December 12, 2025 at 5:01 PM
Jeffries and the House Democratic Leadership is in desperate need of replacement as they are completely unequal to the moment or their duties and obligations under the constitution.
December 11, 2025 at 10:58 PM
We can only hope.
December 11, 2025 at 10:53 PM
She should never be able to get another job as a reporter, editor, or indeed in any position related to or engaging with the media. She should be unemployed and unemployable for the rest of her life.
December 11, 2025 at 9:17 PM
I hope Garcia bring libel and slander suits against this Administration and it’s officials/spokespeople.

Clinton, when he was in office, prevented a serious terrorist attack against the United States in 2000 by reacting against an impending threat by putting the nation’s border security on alert.
