Don't get me wrong, I think it can be done well, but there are aspects of game design that you lose without intentional enemy/power-up/boss placement. A handcrafted world will always beat out a procedurally generated (random) one

I share this sentiment. When I see a trailer for a new indie game and it inevitably says, "a new spin on roguelites" I feel like OK you didn't want to make an actual game, just come up with a bunch of assets and abilities and shuffle everything together without meaningful progression or level design

I do think there will be another smash game but not in the switch 2 life cycle
I don't want another smash game if Sakurai isnt involved and he wants to work on other things
I don't think a reboot is a good idea, my issue with a new smash is it will launch in an "incomplete" status next to ultimate

Have you tried Granblue Fantasy Re:Link? It has a pseudo gacha system where you just get to pick who you recruit with your tickets, no randomness at all. Each character has their own combat style and super moves. I'm not normally into gacha style games but it was awesome

I agree the relic steps in Endwalker were boring, but Dawntrail has a pretty good relic series. The Occult Crescent grind for step 1 was awesome (like Bozja with sub jobs and a lot of FFV flavor), step 2 was Aetherwells and step 3 is crafting followed by a pick your own grind. 9/10 do recommend

There are a few limits like no market board access and a 300k gil cap, but I would say get into it first and if those limits are too bothersome or if you know you like the game, THEN buy it. There is too much on the table for free for a new player to buy the game initially. Have fun and welcome!!

Start with the free trial! There is no subscription so you can pick it up or put it down whenever. The base game and first two expacs are included so saying it's a ton of content is putting it lightly, and if you want to take a break you don't have to worry about canceling a sub and reactivating 1/2

I found out recently that one of my players used chat gpt to generate his character background and it kinda broke my heart that part of the world that we've worked so hard to bring to life was generated by a lifeless machine. I would rather he had handed me a bad background that he wrote himself

It's not even just weather or not her wife wants to grift, it's about safety. If she was public facing how many threats of violence would her and her family receive? They want her to come into the light so they can attack her, simple as that. It's shameful behavior from adults
