It's Thursday so I'm posting an album from my vinyl collection. Since it is so hot in LA and I had a really good coconut cold brew I thought Adventures on the Floating Island by Monster Rally seemed appropriate.

Here is one of the squirrels that torments me on the reg

The first page of My Dinner With André: Wally is trudging through the streets of New York. WALLY (voice-over): The life of a playwright is tough. It's not easy, as some people seem to think. You work hard writing plays, and nobody puts them on. You take up other lines of work to try to make a living-acting, in my case- and people don't hire you. So you spend your days crossing the city back and forth doing the errands of your trade. Today wasn't any easier than any other day. I'd had to be up by ten to make some important phone calls, then I'd gone to the stationery store to buy envelopes, and then to the xerox shop. There were dozens of things to do. By five o'clock I'd finally made it to the post office and mailed off several copies of my plays, meanwhile checking constantly with my answering service to see if my agent had called with any acting work. In the morning, the mailbox had been stuffed with bills. What was I supposed to do? How was I supposed to pay them? After all, I was doing my best. (He keeps trudging.) I've lived in this city all my life. I grew up on the Upper East Side, and when I was ten years old I was rich, I was an aristocrat, riding around in taxis, surrounded by comfort, and all I thought about was art and music. Now I'm thirty-six, and all I think about is money. (He goes into the subway.) It was now seven o'clock, and I would have liked nothing better than to go home and have my girlfriend, Debby, cook me a nice delicious dinner. But for the last several years our financial circumstances have forced her to work three nights a week as a waitress-after all, playwriting doesn't pay for the salt, much less the bread on the table, and we had to have some money coming in-so I was on my own. But the worst thing of all was that I had been trapped by an odd Wallace Shawn and André Gregory in My Dinner With André

they had a really good thing going
A very wide shot of the set and cast of the 90s television show Dinosaurs. The interior scene sits in the shell of a volcano and the family sits at the dining room table happily eating dinner. Along the back wall are various doors and the kitchen of the house. The photo quality is not great. The refrigerator seems to be covered fully in papers, but whether they're drawings, bills, letters cannot be determined. The floor is a square, brick like pattern. Generally earth tones with greige appliances and accents.
