Has ‘Island of Strangers’ become the new ‘Rivers of Blood’? Who would have thought a Labour Party leader and UK PM @keirstarmer.bsky.social wld invoke Xenophobe & Racist Enoch Powell? At least we know what motivates Starmer. He has gone Full Reform Party in a bid to retain power. At anyone’s cost.

America was given a choice between a lawless, amoral monster and a qualified, intelligent, joyful woman of color—and it chose the monster. We need to reckon with the reality of what that says about so many of us here.

Hate the way BBC lazily use on street idiots to show the ‘other side’ on sweeping and brutal welfare reforms, seemingly because they are struggling to find people who can articulate a reasoned alternative view. Bad day for @teamlabouruk.bsky.social but bad 4 the folk they are ruthlessly targeting.

What a sad & vile day it’s been & Trump and Starmer are wholly culpable.
Ukraine/Russia Ceasefire- Trump failed.
Gaza - Hundreds of innocent men, women and children murdered by Israel- Trump failed
And closer to home, Starmer’s Welfare Reforms target the most vulnerable.
Two men, two charlatans.

Sound like Trump didn’t get much at all from Putin. Predictable. As much as Putin is despicable he isn’t daft. Will Trump come up now with the rhetoric he subjected to Zelensky? If not, why not? 🤔

The days when @teamlabouruk.bsky.social could credibly call themselves left of centre progressives are long gone but obedient as always Scot Labour will try anyway…..

📢 Labour before the election: "No austerity under Labour."
📉 Labour after the election: Cutting disability benefits.

Labour promised "change", but instead, voters are getting more of the same.
March 18, 2025 at 3:06 PM
This is what ‘Full Tory’ looks like and Anas Sarwar is the Scottish Labour enabler for a right of centre, unprogressive Labour Govt.
✂️ Voters were promised that there would be no austerity cuts.

🥀 But Labour has slashed the Winter Fuel Payment, cut international aid, blocked compensation for Waspi women.

🪓 Now they are taking an axe to disability benefits too.

Many Labour supporters will still cling on to the myth that they have a left of centre, progressive Party & UK Govt. That trope has been well and truly blown out of the water today, and will mark the point at which Labour lost any lingering hope of winning the 2026 Holyrood election.
March 18, 2025 at 2:36 PM
Labour have gone Full Tory.
It’s called ‘Labour Nostalgia’: the lingering belief that Labour is still a leftwing party that cares for the weak and confronts the strong

That’s long gone. But in Scotland, at least, we have an alternative: independence

Leader of the Free World?
What actually makes America great? Slavery? Ethnic cleansing of native Americans?Hiroshima? Vietnam? Afghanistan? Dancing with the devils of Russia and N Korea? I’m tired of the rhetoric. Trump is a disaster for the USA and us. Maybe the penny will drop for Americans. 🤔

March 12, 2025 at 6:14 PM
Of course he does. Weak & subservient. As Starmer imposes a policy Thatcher would be proud of, Sarwar follows suit. Unquestioning compliance.
