While I am at the Las Vegas Filipino short Film Festival and leaving my beloved 11 year-old boxer behind with my wife and daughter, who don’t normally take care of her, I had to leave specific instructions.

A few yrs ago I started @kenlburns.bsky.social THE VIETNAM WAR on Netflix (I think). I got 2 episodes in before its run ended. I had to finish it, so last yr I bought the set. My wife is gone for the summer in the Philippines and now I can finally watch it in peace. It’s truly phenomenal!

Socked in a whiteout over 11k feet altitude on Mammoth Mountain with my older brother. Ensuring I have no issues at this altitude we are now planning our Nepal trek for September! Flying out of Kathmandu to Lukla airport, the most dangerous airport in the world. Yikes!

At DFW airport on my way to Cali to hike around Mammoth Mt with my older brother to altitude train for our upcoming Nepal trek. BTW, DUNKIN nailed my extra cream/sugar just right!

Wow! What the hail?! Just experienced a massive hail storm come through DFW before 6am this morning. Twas quite heavy! Guess the cars left out will pay the price.

9 yrs ago today we lost my lil brother Pauly (49) to an accidental fentanyl overdose. Forever heartbroken. His hardy laugh as big as his love of all beings & creatures. His essence finds its way into my writing, making me smile knowing how that goofball would deliver that line. 😔❤️

Our 4hr layover in Charlotte and now all flights to DFW canx to weather is now 9hrs+, diverting to Fla, then late return home. Ugh. Not fond of holiday travel.

Just received the notification from Sundance Film Festival that it was a pass on my sweet little short film. Guess I’ll quietly sip my homemade limoncello.

My father taught me how to make the family #Italian meatballs and sauce when I was 13. He insisted the meatballs cook in the sauce and anybody who does otherwise Should face an extreme ridicule, ha! friends and family would kill for my meatballs and sauce! I’ll make the homemade pasta 2morrow!
