Congress could stop this today. It’s just that they won’t. There’s no constitutional fix when all those charged with protecting it decide not to.

The problem is they promised to not use any of the key tax measures to increase revenue when everyone knew that the current taxation rate was unsustainable. They are now left in an impossible situation: either raise tax (and we saw how well that was liked pre budget) or keep cutting.

He’s at no more risk today of being physically attacked in the UK than he was before Kirk. We don’t have guns and political violence is still, thankfully, rare in the UK. We will mock him mercilessly though.

Countries don’t pay them. Importers, and therefore, US consumers pay them.

Surely, the problem is that the criminal justice system is woefully underfunded, that the government still restricts Judges sitting hours to keep costs down, that courts are falling down, that legal aid levels are insufficient to persuade enough Barristers to practice criminal law.
