One of my companies informed me they cancelled a $2m conference in Florida. Why ?

They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.

That’s a city that lost a ton of tourism revenue.

The cost of tariffs isn’t just the cost of the tariff

Would someone please explain to everyone that the American consumer is the one that ultimately pays for the tariffs.

The U.S. National Park system generated $55.6 billion in economic output on a budget of $3.6 billion in 2023. What Elon and DOGE are doing has nothing to do with efficiency and everything to do with privatizing public goods for the enrichment of a few.

Fun fact about Trump tariffs you won’t see in 99% of the reporting:

Trump tariffs are illegal.

Congress controls tariffs just like tax rates.

President can change a tariff only for national security emergency, meaning war.

It seems to me that investors really want to invest in a Western Democracy. Not a dictators and oligarchs only investment club.

The head of the joint chiefs fired (black).
The commandant of the coast guard fired (female).
The Navy CNO fired (female).
There seems to be some kind of pattern here.
What could that be? I wonder who will take their places?
