Oh lord, I'm reviewing a book right now and I wish I could send your post directly to the authors.

I was thinking about this and I think maybe what the OP is pointing out is that the rest of the billionaires shouldn't exist as humans, and it's just that LeBron James should just have less money. (Also the racial politics of extreme wealth & public discourse, etc.)

One of my friends who's a lawyer told me she couldn't even get it to say something accurate when she told it exactly what precedent to cite.🤔

Can't wait for this policy from Keith Wilson in the new year. #pdx

Lol @ fellow (global) westerners trying to claim they aren't at least complicit in exploitation of huge areas of the planet. It's amazing how many folks don't realise what it takes to produce & sustain the (global) western lifestyle.

I could not agree more. The whole thing is peak whites undermining the maim thesis of white supremacy.

Wait until you hear about the Dutch & the tiny gifts in shoes for 12 days...or in some homes on the anniversary of St. Nicholas' death (the 5th or 6th)!

But have you seen his latest crime against music & Black culture, that frankly has broken me in a way that has literally made me lose sleep? (Not making an argument, but more needing someone else to witness this.)

It's my comfort watch, what can I say? But Brit Box is pretty comprehensive. It's really only missing my fave CH4 reality series, Made in Chelsea.

I still listen to that album...I know I shouldn't, but I do. Both have ruined my brain.

God, I bet they're about to pull the "if a man were doing these things, no one would be upset" and all the worst white women will write think pieces.
December 23, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Where else are you going to watch Keeping Up Appearances??
December 23, 2025 at 10:41 PM
I do. And I understand the point: it's a bad look for the head of HR. But I think it's an even worse look for the head of the company and in the end, these are two consenting adults and maybe there are worse things going on in the world to be this upsetting by.
December 23, 2025 at 10:40 PM
Does that include the boss? Or are they magically exonerated?
December 22, 2025 at 10:36 AM
I get that. And being an executive is certainly different from rank-and-file.
December 22, 2025 at 10:33 AM
For real.
December 22, 2025 at 10:26 AM
I'm not sure you understand what HR people do? (Also, background checks are always done by a third party.)
December 22, 2025 at 10:26 AM
Also, after that whole rant...I am a little worried you don't know what "implication" means? I don't mean that to be rude! Perhaps my question wasn't clear? Do set me right if I am misunderstanding!
December 19, 2025 at 9:01 AM
Your implication that she is in some way unworthy of empathy because her anxiety is either keeping her from taking concrete steps to move forward in her life (trying to find a new job), or, because the thing she is worried about hasn't come to pass is absolutely bonkers.
December 19, 2025 at 9:01 AM
She is worried about it because this upsetting thing was directly related to her job. So what if she hasn't started looking for a new one! Are you accusing her of lying about her experience??
December 19, 2025 at 9:01 AM
Oh lord. Reading comprehension! The point of that quote is that she's worried about not being able to find a job after going through a thorough public flogging after making an unfortunate decision.
