I can think of a few patients who were so obviously autistic who had been missed.

Something is fundamentally wrong with the system at the moment.

The deep rooted issues in our society that leach into our children and the way they treat others are too hard for lowly me to treat... I'll just say the issue is the child 👍

There is quite clear guidelines on what needs doing and who is responsible for them.

Normally specialist need to do them unless they ask specifically for us to do them with a shared care. It needs to be quite clearly laid out

And all of this means that

1) it waters down people's perceptions of actual mental health/ADHD etc

2) means people with actual issues can't get any support.

3) if most children are being diagnosed and need extra time then the whole education needs overhauling

Further more the ADHD this is getting on my nut.

I had a child school had sent in for a referral for ADHD as he was unhappy at school (and school only)
A few questions and it was obvious he was being bullied.
