Honestly I really adore my first film camera, the Bauer Scout 35, which is just about as small and light as a 35mm camera can be, but the unassisted focusing made me feel anxious to use it. The Canonet is much larger and heavier but feels like a tool I can use more effectively.

finally replaced the light seals on my “new” camera, a Canon Canonet QL17 G-III, and now I know why Canon were so proud that “Quick Load” made it onto the badge on front, it’s fantastic #BelieveInFilm
