kuhlis do fuck all besides look cute bc theyre highkey too lazy to bother doing any work unless the food is right in front of them. i havent had a sanded tank in a while so its been years since i kept them (over a decade lol) but for them to be effective iirc you have to crush the snails urself

id recommend dwarf chain loaches over assassin snails tbh but this is partly bc i never liked the idea of getting an assassin snail for it to eventually starve
