I should mention that this drawing is actually a redraw of a really old drawing I made as a kid of a basilosaurus. I’ve certainly gained a lot of experience between then and now.

Originally I wanted to mix in elements from her novel version with Katahdin being more deformed and having other animal parts on her but I didn’t really like how it turned out so I scrapped it in favor of something more faithful to the film design.

My Godzilla universe also has some lesser known monsters in it too. One example being the mutant bear known as Katahdin from the 1979 film Prophecy.
