I'm pro democracy.
Sad times, that such a simple statement lets you correctly assume which party I would never vote for.
Trump is a terrible, terrible man and having to put your hope on him - of all people - disheartening. But there is a 0% chance China would help out. Europe? India?
USA is their only real chance. They might strike, but will it be enough?

I'm sure both trump and #SpaceKaren have a brainstorm team just for coming up with more distractions. A conveyor belt of distractions. It's been going on for THOUSANDS of days. Relentless.

If news around Elon died down for too long, stock would start tanking.

The average American cannot imagine life getting worse and that lack of imagination has really bit us in the ass.

I read the recent book Chip War (Chris Miller). The USSR tried to speedrun chip production and failed.
If it weren't for Netherlands with their impressive ASML, I'd be very discouraged. I should have more confidence in my fellow Europeans, but they can't compete with USA and China.

I Europe even able to produce its own chips? Other than ASML, what do we have? Can Europe make drones without depending on Asian parts?

A fellow fan of this little movie.
It's one of my favorite's. Makes me nostalgic, emotional.
It captures a place and time, even with only limited settings. It's like a time capsule.

*Monday, January 19, 2026, stock market is closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Also: The way the stock market works - if Europeans sell the stocks of profitable companies, somebody else will own them.
