This is a fun trip so far. @wilshirewolf.bsky.social has gotten a couple of firsts. Saw his first fireflies and got his first, second, and third tornado siren. Having grown up in Oklahoma, I immediately went outside. Missed the feeling of standing outside in a thunderstorm.

Green: If I put on my sunglasses, it's cloudy. Green takes the sunglasses off, squinting in the bright light of the sun that appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Green: But i I take them off, sunshine returns! Green puts the sunglasses back on his head, and the sun is gone again. Green: Shades on, sun's gone. Green starts to flip the sunglasses on and off his head, making the sun blink on and off accordingly. Blue frowns at him. Green: Strobe time. Blue: Stop that, you'll give someone a seizure.

Narration: When a whale dies, its body sinks to the bottom of the ocean. But this is not a time of sorrow. A varying group of tiny little critters has gathered on the ocean floor, all peering up, some reaching up with whatever limbs they have, all cheerful of the magnificient bounty approaching them. Narration: For the tiny creatures at the bottom, it's a miracle from above! Holding varying pieces of whale carcass in their teeth, claws, or forelegs, the tiny creatures happily skitter away. Narration: A feast that will feed them for months! Finally, we reach the foxes. Blue is calmly looking at Green, who is looking at him from the middle of his massive pile of random apparel, items and knickknacks. Green: ...And in my defense, the same applies to a really good thrift store haul.

I hate this! It's too loud, too bright, and there's too many people! Somewhere in the distance, someone's baby is crying. Frowning, Blue turns to glare towards the noise. Blue: ...And someone's crying baby, of couse. Green: Can I try something? Green pulls out a strange little device, which Blue studies with confusion. Blue: What? Green: This baby translator. Blue: A what? As both of the foxes study the contraption that Green is holding, it speaks up. Translator: Wail decoded: It's too loud, too bright, and too crowded. I hate it. Blue: Okay, that's fair.
