Hi! I'm Kirsten (also known as Dragonlight or Draconli), a concept artist, an illustrator, and a lover of dragons and mermaids (sometimes, combined)! I do both digital and traditional, though my mainstay is inking, especially lots of tiny details!

🎨 kirstenandersenartist.com
Digital color artwork of my oc, the Pumpkin Prince, with large branch-like horns, a jack-o-lantern hat, and loose dark messy suit, sitting on top of a pile of jack-o-lanterns and holding a poisonous candy apply in one hand. Ink drawing of a merperson, wearing seashells and jewelry, surrounded by a school of fish and a sea of seaweed. Extremely detailed ink drawing of a large half-woman, half dragon with extremely large tree-like horns laying next to a small mossy cascading waterfall and caressing a human skull. Digital color artwork of Ichimoruken from the game Onmyoji in his cherry blossoms skin holding a very small pinkish-white dragon in one hand while cherry blossoms fall from above.

#Comics folks, I need you to pull up to this one.

The world sucks right now, and we have the opportunity to do a little bit of good for a displaced and marginalized member of our community. Please join me in supporting this KS campaign!

www.kickstarter.com/projects/den...
If you're somebody who values supporting marginalized voices in comics, here's your chance to put your money where your values are!

The writer of this RINGO NOM’D INDIE COMIC (and a very dear friend of mine) is a Syrian Refugee who has been through more continuous hardships than I have space to list here; constantly navigating visa applications, unstable living conditions, predatory landlords (limited options as a refugee).

Anas just wants to make comics and live a normal life like what so many of us take for granted. Backing this campaign will help Anas to take the next step toward freedom and autonomy, helping to fund a move to another country with more stable employment options. This is truly one of the most important comics purchases you will ever make.

Middle Eastern and North African comics creators are some of the most underrepresented in the comics industry of the western world. Anas isn’t running a GoFundMe to support this move, and is not asking for charity. Simply, Anas is using their talent for storytelling, along with Dennis’ gorgeous art, to offer you a beautiful experience in the comics medium, that also goes toward funding a better life for Anas.

I’m so proud of Anas, and humbled by their experiences and perseverance. I would like to see Anas’ Dream realized, and I’d love to see this community help to make that happen. Please join me in pledging to the Etheres Kickstarter campaign! (link below). Etheres cover B

Yeah! I work at an art store, so we get so many artists of various ages and experiences showing off their work all the time. A lot of the time, they will often apologize for wanting to show it, but being an artist, I'm like, no, please show! I need to see!

*raises hand* I'm one of those artists who loves to challenge myself and push my abilities, especially with ink.

Also, I'm an absolute nutcase, who is used to making 20-30 ink commissions a day.
amandawtwong.bsky.social
I think with art challenges like Inktober, there are artists who naturally like challenging and pushing themselves who create unforced pressure for a certain level of output and polish; once you get to people secretly starting their Inktobers in August you're kind of like what are we even doing here
laurenwalshart.bsky.social
Inktober sets completely unrealistic expectations regarding output. Making a complete inked drawing in one day EVERY day for a month is insane and a recipe for burnout. Don’t tie your worth to something that even professionals believe is unrealistic.
