I bitch a lot on here. 😜
And yes, I can admit that I've run into random friends at the store, but we at least got out of the way, or left the store to BS out in the parking lot.

But I don't care if Stephanie is five! I JUST WANT BREAD!! MOVE!!

Like, I can handle a busy grocery store. But for some stupid reason, old people start running into friends they haven't seen in ages, and a mass wave of it happens in the fucking grocery aisles.

Oh yeah, THAT section is ass. But you know why. Forcing the player to take agonizingly long backtracking routes in order to blatantly pad-out mission length is way easier than actually writing meaningful content.

Everything about 4 just feels like a series of distorted echoes of its predecessors.

What's really funny is that while the whole entire map is open, without any loading screens in between zones, the world still feels incredibly small.

Either someone else needs to take the reigns, or Borderlands in general needs to be put to sleep for an indefinite period of time... 🫤

Loot drops are trash. 80% of weapon drops are Order or Ripper, and they're awful. Legendaries are scarce. The new characters aren't any fun.

This is the most phoned-in entry in the series, the story isn't even trying to connect with its predecessors.

At least not yet, and I'm level 50 already.

I know these are turorial-based folks, so they aren't with you for the whole adventure, but the series never needed this.

The games taught you how to navigate through the whole design of the environments, as well as simple trial-and-error.

Dread understood this. That's why it was incredible.

Well, even Battlefield needs to up the bar as well. Existing solely to counter CoD's buffoonery isn't enough, even though they are successful at it.

It's EA vs Activision, though, so I can't say I should be expecting either of them to innovate. 😅

I'm really trying to do better. I'm trying to not harshly judge what folks choose to enjoy when it comes to video games, but for fucks sake, raise your goddamn standards.

The genre deserves better. YOU deserve better.

Stop blindly buying these every year. Jesus Christ.

It is such an incredible feeling! Congrats! 😊

And no, I wouldn't really consider it bragging. Paying off a massive debt is not something you accomplish with ease.

Oh yeah, areas you can't reach? JUST SHOW ME! 😆

A large chunk are local.

But fun fact: I moved 15 miles away into a house back in June. I rarely ever go through my old neighborhood/stores.

As far as they're concerned, I pulled a Houdini.

The others at least had some variation of how each area looked, and offered different foes depending on where you're at.

4 has all the shine and shimmer of a great action game with a kickass combat system, but with heavy use of copy and paste. 🫤

I know, it's embarrassing.
