I ran into somebody from a couple cities over that I played a board game at a con in 2019, boymoding at a concert and not out on socials, when I quietly mentioned I was using a new name they insta-invited me to their wedding reception and said wear what I was comfortable in regardless of formality.

Some coworkers pooled together money to give me a "Christmas bonus" because I make their jobs easier.

Yeah sometimes they're just old and perfectly healthy.
Oreo is 16, has early signs of kidney disease that haven't worsened in years, a bit of a weak heart, stomps/limps because of a broken toe when a car rolled over and he was in the woods for 2 months, bad teeth... and loves life and cuddles.
