Interesting split I noticed looking at Red Sox batting splits- somehow the 2025 Red Sox lineup gets worse each time through the order for the opposing pitcher not better

Red Sox lineup problem so far this year is deeper than just Devers. He’s gone 0-19 with 15Ks and he’s got a *better* OPS+ than 3 regulars in Wong, Casas and Rafaela.

Something is going to have to change quickly if they don’t want the season to go off the rails before it even really begins.

Joel Klatt was on this early and we see the things highlighted already-pocket presence, ability to throw into tight windows and handle the rush. Like Joel, I thought I was taking crazy pills when people were saying Maye wasn’t gonna be able to play this year.

Maye is dealing today but they keep taking the ball out of his hands. Down 10 in the 4th it doesn’t make sense to keep calling runs that get nowhere and then kicking the fg without giving Drake a chance on 2nd or 3rd down
