I remember having such fun times reading the manga! I should read more from Aya Nakahara, I wonder why her other series didnt make as much noise as LoveCom

(Which is exactly what I didnt like in Red River, another famous 'og isekai'. I wonder if afterwards the author overcame this need to constantly put MC in those kind of situations, bc the setting and artifacts/scenery/clothing were genuinely interesting)

Like they're trying hard to sell the image of a "cat-like" (in lack of a better expression) lady who'll have constant bickering and love-hate scenes with the men in her life.
Plus I'm afraid it'll have many attempts of r/pe as a plot device.

But the first episode didnt sold it to me yet. The protagonist seems to be a bit performatic sometimes (in situations of danger, spitting on a stranger with weapons doesnt sound very reasonable...).

Now, I struggle to find movies even from the 2000s, that isnt that long ago.
I wish there was an universal catalogue for older media that we could access and preserve.

Also! How every season, even in the ops, exemplified a stereotype/"cycle" of the supposed "crazy ex" girlfriend. Delusional, obsessed, revengeful, depressed... And thru it, instead of more parodic, it became more and more humanizing of her personal drama. And in the end, it wasnt abt the boys at all

It didnt take itself too serious, but when it was time to tackle serious stuff, it delivered. I especially loved how they made smart use of narrative/meta resources to illustrate the symptoms/delusions/the change of actor, etc.

CXG was an experience! It was silly, funny, creative, but also tackled mental health in an interesting way.
Hard to top that, but I was ready to like Zoey's for its own merit, but I think the things I liked were surpassed by my tiredness with it.

My father even jokes saying I'm having in months the experience some don't have in 10 years...

Sometimes I really want to give up. But I'll try to resist the urge and go till where I can.

I don't really see myself there longterm, but I think I need to push a little more farther.
