Yeah, I think you're right. I'm just (maybe overly) worried about the eventual push to expand "state-controlled media" at the expense of independent media. How do we continue to get the truth out? Now is the time for US folk to support their local NPR station.

During the week of the #LAfires, a flock of parrots noisily announced their visit every morning - to come eat nuts off the neighbors' tree. They were only here during that week. It was surreal, because the only things I could think about were parrots and fire. And fire and parrots.
