This goes beyond postmarks. Every election cycle election officials reject hundreds of thousands of mail ballots because voters didn't follow proper procedures. This is disproportionately hurting Democrats. If you have an issue when voting in-person, poll workers can resolve it on the spot

Yep. And there are times in life when a postmark can be critical besides voting. This makes USPS less reliable as a shipping and delivery service, which is the point.
