Recovering engineer turn cybersecurity consultant but as this isn’t a work will probably mostly post rants and nonsense.
Road is in too good condition to be Scotland (plus I don’t recognise it); must be wales (north wales?)

Depends whether your out to make a killing or a living.
Your best bet is to go in high and see whether they negotiate or not. In my experience 99% of people don’t recognise the value of their own time, or the value you may bring to an organisation. Work that out then charge the higher of the two.

Of course, it also overlooks the impact of NIS2 on organisations looking to supply EU operators, as they’ll almost certainly need to jump through the additional supply chain hoops and extend cooperation on security.

It is not unusual to have to follow the strictest obligations on your business from the areas you operate in, it simply drives best practice.
Of course, we could run multiple, geographic-specific processes, but that would be an administrative nightmare and impact efficiency.

Well I guess my whole job doesn’t exist… again, I work for a very large GB company and we need to adhere to NIS2 - in addition to GB assets, we own generating assets across EU countries. The EU operations are not separate businesses, we control them all from the same control rooms.

I can assure you that’s wrong, but not because of the GB operations. Mainly us for R.of Ireland, France, Spain, Italy etc etc

Oh man there is so much fake news in that article, I don’t even know where to start.
Bottom line is if you’re not sure if it applies, then it almost certainly doesn’t, but it’s only just passed transposition stage with adoption for many countries not starting until late spring / summer 2025
