The backstory: In 2019, our @natcomms.nature.com computational paper doi.org/10.1038/s414... suggested that interneurons have 'smart' nonlinear dendrites. Later Experiments proved it right. Now, we're predicting what those dendrites do.

Excited to share our new preprint! We use advanced models to show how PV+ interneurons can toggle hippocampal rhythms, switching between memory encoding & recall states simply by activating different nonlinear dendritic branches. 🧠⚡️ www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
